16: B2D

This week’s episode takes a look into the world of B2D (Business to Developer). B2D is an established concept, with companies like GitHub, Twilio, and Stripe writing the playbooks. But when you start to pick it apart (as the Matt and Steven are wont to) the edges blur quite a bit. Why isn’t Slack generally considered a B2D product? Is it a product strategy or a go to market playbook? Is it just good documentation?

We live in an exciting time for entrepreneurs, when B2D products are boosting the confidence of both developers and non technical people alike to create new products and startups. By plugging together different APIs, many of the hurdles of going to market can quickly be overcome, and B2D products are the powerful force behind this.
